Professional Swimmer
For athletes with outstanding swimming performances, participating in professional events and making a living from it is a direct career choice. Top international events such as the Olympics, World Championships, and World Cups provide abundant scholarships and sponsorship opportunities. Excellent athletes can even earn considerable income through advertising endorsements and event prizes. However, becoming a professional swimmer is not easy. It requires a lot of time and effort, and also requires strong mental resilience when facing injuries, low periods, and psychological pressure.
Interview:
Zhang Xu (Former Member of the National Swimming Team): "In competitive sports, swimming is a sport that requires years of polishing. Improvement in performance depends not only on talent, but also on countless days and nights of training and self-transcendence. At the peak of an athlete's career, we have the opportunity to accumulate wealth and connections through competitions, but what cannot be ignored is that this path is not long. After retirement, how to transition into the workplace is a problem that every swimmer must face."
